It’s spring in NYC!
We visited the Fifth Ave. Easter bonnet parade and stopped by the Japanese market for goodies.

Momo had her four year check up and checked in at three feet three inches and 30.4 pounds.

Momo and Michi are spending the end of the summer in Hawaii and Michi is providing live coverage.

Summer in Ohio! Although now Momo is mixing up Ohio and Hawaii and calling it Ohihi.

We spent a couple days with Liz, Claudio and Nata at the Snoopy House or as Momo liked to say, the Puppy House, on Fire Island. We also ran into Lori S which made the whole trip feel more magical.

Spring has arrived and we realize we have not been good about updates to the Momo blog. Here is a roll of recently developed film of Momo’s adventures uptown, including a visit from Noni and Mothers Day at Prospect Park with Muki.

We spent a sunny and warm week in Los Angeles at Ji Won’s great home in Lincoln Heights with road trips to family in Pasadena, Hacienda Heights and Newport Beach.

Here are some Christmas 2014 photos shot on film. We will be posting more digital photos soon.

Michi and Momo spend most of October in Hawaii. Continue reading
Momo really loves umbrellas, which could be explained by a book we have read to her since she was months old called Umbrella about a little girl in New York City named Momo. Also Michi has become the official Momo blog photographer so if you notice the quality of composition increasing, it is because of Michi behind the camera.

We joined our fellow second-homeless New Yorkers, Natalia, Georgia and Vanessa, on the MetroNorth to visit Dia Beacon for a nice Labor Day get away.

Momo picked up “No No No” and a finger wave from the playground.

Momo is walking enough to take little strolls down Riverside. Of course she also is big enough to take up the entire bed when she naps.

Momo and Michi spent January in Hawaii and Peter met them in early February for Momo’s first birthday. Momo also got to meet Nick-san!

Momo did not quite know what to think of her first Christmas but she certainly had a fun time opening our presents and visiting the Waterman’s and the Steed’s households later in the evening.

We had a lovely turkey-free Thanksgiving and visited the Guggenheim to see the Christopher Wool exhibit and had the pleasure of seeing awesome Robert Motherwell early collages. We poked about midtown and ended up at a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf which is a very California-ish coffee shop that just opened in NYC.

Momo is finally adjusting to life Uptown in our new home. From napping only once day for 30 minutes, has become, two solid naps, eating more, and talking more and moving a lot faster from Point A to Point B.

Getting settled uptown in Hamilton Heights Harlem in The Deerfield which is the first time we have lived in a building with a name. Tuesday of our second week Michi caught Momo standing up by her self in the crib. She can also scoot her way all around the edge of the crib.
uhoh.

Labor day weekend celebrations at Mike & Yuka’s whose place always possesses the best lighting for Momo photography.

Some friends left us with their old Volvo 940 and while driving around looking for places to live we slid by the spot of Zechariah, who is also the owner of the flyest orange 70s Volvo wagon in Brooklyn. We had a nice little cook out.

Momo’s motor skills are mildly improving as she enters her last month in the great borough of Brooklyn.

We all went to Governor’s Island to meet Etna and her mom Makiko-san for a Saturday picnic.

Lots of early summer time socializing with Momo and friends, especially since the little one travels so well and is so great around both friends and crowds.

Super relaxing Memorial Day Weekend, in which we did very little. Michi had friends from California in one day but the rest all sleep and lounging and when the weather finally got nice, on Monday, we took a long walk to the East River.

We purchased this serigraph by John Grillo from Pete’s job. It is an artist’s proof, 30 out of an edition of 200. Hopefully Momo will love the colors and shapes.
We took a trip to Kinokuniya where we book shopped and ate lunch. We headed north to visit Mike, Yuka, Miwa and family and visited Central Park. Momo wore her first dress and booties too!

Additional late arriving film photos.

Today brand new photos of Momo straight from Michi’s mobile phone. This is the newest, freshest photos of Momo straight from the momorazzi / mamarazzi herself.

A tad bit behind on the Momo blogging but here are some photos from the beginning of March as Momo enters her 4 and 5 weeks. She also starts to take baths with her mom in the big tub.

The end of February came fast with Mariko going back to Hawaii, sadly. We did have several new and returning visitors including Jeffery and Zechariah and Natalia. Trimming Momo’s nails by biting them off did not work out so we started to use a small emory board.
These photos were taken between the 16th and 20th of February—Momo’s third week. Aside from cold weather, good food and lots of beer, Momo coming into her own.

Figured out how to publish from the iPhone with all the images Michi texts me during the day.
