A bit of cheap and safe fun has been playing with balls. Several variations include:

• ball in the hall
• ball on the wall (hand ball)
• ball in front of the wall (catch)

Ball in the hall became obsolete when we moved to the 5th floor into an apartment with neighbors. On the 3rd floor everyone had moved out so we had the hall to ourselves.
